Where healing begins and insight leads the way.

Empowering Growth Through Compassionate Play Therapy & Counseling

At Insightful Play and Counseling, we provide relationship-based counseling services that help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence and care. Through evidence-informed play therapy and tailored counseling, we create a safe space for emotional expression, healing, and growth.

You're here, now what?

Reaching out for support whether for yourself or your child can be daunting, scary, and overwhelming especially if this will be your first experience with counseling.

I first want to clear up that there is nothing “wrong” with you or your child nor is this your “fault” for yourself or your child. We have all experienced struggles in varying degrees and respond in different ways. My hope would be to support you or your child in finding or learning ways to respond that are more beneficial and actually make us feel better in the long run.

A vital component to successful counseling is the counseling relationship between counselor and client. Just as in any other relationship such as with a friend or partner, not everyone will be a good fit for everyone and that is 100% ok. Please feel free to ask questions to help you determine if we might be a good fit and I certainly hope that we are! However, if it doesn’t seem like we are matching up quite right, I am happy to provide referrals for someone that might be a better match! I simply want the best for everyone on their mental health journey whether that is with me or not!

Counseling Services and Populations

We offer a range of dedicated therapeutic services designed to support children, teens, and adults in building emotional strength, resilience, and healthy relationships.

Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)

Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a structured 10-week program designed to help parents better understand and connect with their child through therapeutic play and skill-building.

Telehealth Services

I am currently licensed in TX, CO, and WA and am able to provide telehealth services to any resident of TX, CO, or WA regardless of their location within those states.

Many individuals and couples facing infertility or pregnancy loss feel misunderstood, isolated, or overwhelmed.

Military & Veteran Family Support

Military and veteran families face experiences and stressors that can be difficult to fully understand without living them.

Parenting Support & Training

If I was forced to pick only one population to work with it would probably be parents because I am essentially able to work with an adult and child at the same time.

Thoughtful, Relationship-Based, and Developmentally Appropriate Care

We believe that meaningful change begins with connection. Our therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued.

For children, play is their natural language. Through evidence-based play therapy techniques, we help children express emotions, process experiences, and build healthy coping skills.

For teens and adults, therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented. We work together to increase insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.

We also believe that caregivers play an essential role in a child’s healing journey. Parent collaboration and guidance are integrated into the therapeutic process whenever appropriate.

Safe & Supportive Environment

A space where clients can openly express thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Individualized Care

Each treatment plan is tailored to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of the client.

Collaborative Process

Therapy is a partnership — working together to foster lasting growth and resilience.
